PyroLift pyrolytic oven for cleaning industrial components

The pyrolytic oven PyroLift is an industrial machine designed to clean plastic extrusion dies containing polymer residues, such as extrusion heads, injection nozzles, dies, etc., in the complete absence of oxygen.

Cleaning is carried out through controlled pyrolysis, which can reach operating temperatures of 550°C, in an atmosphere inerted with nitrogen gas.

Controlled industrial pyrolytic cleaning

EPROTECH introduces a solution for controlled industrial pyrolytic cleaning, designed to remove organic residues from metal components without invasive abrasive treatments, mainly on:

  • Dies, screws, heads, nozzles and filters for plastic extrusion
  • Hot runner and injection moulding components
  • Hooks, frames and hangers for industrial painting
  • Parts contaminated with resins, paints and organic residues

Process in a nitrogen-inerted atmosphere

Cleaning is carried out through controlled pyrolysis in an oxygen-free environment, with the process gases directed towards the afterburning system.

  1. 01

    Loading

The components are placed on the movable platform for opening and closing the treatment chamber.

  2. 02

    Controlled pyrolysis

The chamber incorporates electric heating elements, temperature monitoring and a nitrogen inerting system.

  3. 03

    Gas treatment

Syngas and inert gas are directed towards the afterburner for effluent treatment.

Technological advantages

  • No decarburisation of materials
  • Zero environmental impact
  • Energy consumption <20 kWh
  • Afterburner energy recovery
  • Limited maintenance (use of afterburner)
  • Ease of integration

Pollutant treatment

To prevent the release of pollutants, the pyrolysis gases are treated in a dedicated afterburning chamber. The hot, turbulent flow promotes the oxidation of carbon monoxide, tars, hydrocarbons and any dioxins into CO2 and water vapour.

  • Afterburner temperature up to 900°C
  • Excess oxygen greater than twice the stoichiometric ratio
  • Residence time in the afterburning chamber of at least 2.5 seconds
